Fall is officially here, and with it comes lots of seasonal produce. Pumpkins, sweet potatoes, apples, greens, and so much more are fall crops, and if you’re looking to source these from more local options, this article is for you! From farmer’s markets to local farms to produce stands—we’ve got all your local fall food options right here. For this article, we kept our list to options that were around 30 minutes or less from Tifton, but please let us know in the comments if you’re interested in seeing options farther out!
Tifton Farmer’s Market
One of the best ways to find lots of local fall produce and other local goods is at the Tifton Farmer’s Market! This market is held in downtown Tifton every fall and spring, and they have vendors with local produce, meat, honey, eggs, baked goods, jams, jellies, plants, crafts and so much more. Fall opening day is October 4th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and there will be a market every Saturday until November 22nd.
Rutland Farms
A great local option that’s open year-round and through the week is Rutland Farms. They have a lot of exciting fall events coming up, a large playground, petting zoo, a pumpkin patch (opening September 29th), and a market packed full of goodies including local produce.

Berry Good Farms
Berry Good Farms, located at 930 Williams Gibbs Road in Tifton, is another small local farm where you can find delicious local produce. Berry Good Farms is also chemical free, and they offer u-pick opportunities throughout the year. Their next crops available will be persimmons and Satsumas later in the fall. You can check their Facebook page for more updates.
Southern Grace Farms
Southern Grace Farms in Enigma is another great place to find local produce. While they have a large playground, fresh ice cream, and a market packed full of lots of local goodies, you can also do u-pick for seasonal produce throughout the year. Starting later this fall, they will offer u-pick for their Satsuma oranges and other citrus fruits.
Williams U-Pick Farm
Also in Alapaha is Williams U-Pick Farm, which offers seasonal u-pick opportunities. This fall you can pick collards, kale, broccoli, rutabagas, cabbage, purple top turnips, mustard, and carrots. Check their Facebook page for updates on produce availability.
Walker Farms Produce Stand
If you want easy access to local produce, check out Walker Farms Produce Stand right off 82 near Church’s Chicken in Tifton. They sell local produce and are usually open until a little later in the fall.

Shorty’s Produce Stand
Another great local produce stand is Shorty’s, right off Highway 41 at the BP Gas Station right across from Espresso 41. You can find a variety of local produce there, and it is usually open until later in the fall.
Ponders Meat & Produce
Ponders Meat & Produce, located at 1294 Highway 82 East, offers fresh meats and produce as well as other specialty items. Learn more about their current offerings here.
From the Fields Meat & Processing
While From the Fields Meat & Processing is a local meat processor for deer hunters and farmers alike, they also source local meat and offer it in store for you. You can also find fresh local milk and cheese, soap, honey, elderberry products, and other speciality items.
Twin Pines Homestead and Market
If you’re looking for somewhere to go year-round (or just during the week), check out Twin Pines Homestead and Market in Alapaha! This local market brings together produce throughout the state of Georgia and Southeast with products grown or produced right here in Southwest Georgia. They currently have sweet potatoes, pumpkins, apples, tomatoes, squash, potatoes, gourmet mushrooms, locally made baked goods, and so much more! You can find them at 22477 Main Street in Alapaha Wednesday-Fridays from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Calhoun Produce
Calhoun Produce in Ashburn is another great place to find local produce. They have several fun fall events coming up, a large playground, homemade ice cream, and a market with fresh local produce, frozen produce grown on their farm, and so much more.
Nashville Farmer’s Market
The Nashville Farmer’s Market, which is open throughout the week, has fresh local produce, crafts, baked goods, and so much more! You can find them at 503 East Marion Avenue in Nashville Tuesday-Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Grandaddy’s Farm
Looking for locally raised meat? Check out Grandaddy’s Farm, located in Ocilla! They periodically offer a half cow, and they offer ground beef, steaks, and other cuts at the Tifton Farmer’s Market. Their cows are grass fed and grass finished.
Crawford Cattle Company
Crawford Cattle Company is another local option for beef! They offer half or whole cows periodically throughout the year, individual packs of meat, and beef boxes. Their beef is grass fed and grain finished and processed locally. You can learn more about all their offerings here.

Miller Family Farms
Located in Wray, Miller Family Farms is another local source to get quality, farm-raised beef in the Tifton area. Their cows are fed with non-GMO oats and ground corn grown exclusively on the Miller Family Farm, and their animals are not treated with any steroids, antibiotics, or growth hormones.
Spare Time Farms
Spare Time Farms is a small, family-run homestead in Fitzgerald where you can find raw goat milk as well as goat milk soaps, and goat milk sugar scrubs. Learn more here.
