Christmas is a special time, and whether you currently have a church home or not, candlelight and/or Christmas Eve services can bring some of the true meaning of Christmas to the holiday. It also gives your family a chance to slow down and take a break from the constant consumption that comes with the holiday season and turn back towards something simpler and more meaningful. Whether you and your family are regular church goers or not, Christmas can be a great time to attend one of these local candlelight and/or Christmas Eve services, and in this article, we cover services in the greater Tifton, Valdosta, and Albany areas here in Southwest Georgia.
TIFTON AREA
St. Anne’s Episcopal Church
Every year on Christmas Eve, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton hosts a very special Midnight Mass. All are welcome, and there is a free and professionally staffed nursery available for anyone who needs it. Doors open at 10:00 pm, and a special prelude concert will begin at 10:30 pm. The service itself will start at 11:00 pm. St. Anne’s is located at 2411 Central Avenue North in Tifton.

First Baptist Church of Tifton
First Baptist Church of Tifton will have two candlelight services available in the sanctuary: one at 4:30 pm and one at 6:00 pm. First Baptist Church of Tifton is located at 404 Love Avenue in Tifton.
All Welcome Lutheran Church
All Welcome Lutheran Church, which meets at Pizza Quick (308 5th Street in Tifton) invites everyone to their Christmas Eve Service on Christmas Eve at 8:00 pm.
New River Baptist Church
New River Baptist Church in Tifton will have a Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve. You can find New River Baptist Church at 17 Old Brookfield Road in Tifton.
Eastside Baptist Church
Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton will have a special Christmas Eve service with candlelight, carols, and communion at 5:00 pm on Christmas Eve. You can find Eastside Baptist Church at 1490 Kennedy Road in Tifton.
Sycamore Baptist Church
Sycamore Baptist Church will host a candlelight service on Christmas Eve at 5:00 pm. They are located at 44 W College Street in Sycamore.

VALDOSTA AREA
Cross Pointe Church
Cross Pointe Church in Valdosta will have a Christmas Eve candlelight service on Christmas Eve beginning at 5:00 pm. Childcare is available for children 3 and under. You can find Cross Pointe Church at 4100 North Valdosta Road.
Park Avenue Church
Park Avenue Church in Valdosta will have several Christmas Eve service options. First, there will be a traditional Christmas Eve service on Christmas Eve at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary (live streamed as well), then a traditional Christmas Eve service at 3:30 pm in the sanctuary, and then a contemporary Christmas service at 5:00 pm in the worship center (live streamed as well). Park Avenue Church is located at 100 E Park Avenue Valdosta. Nursery will be available for all services.
Crossroads Baptist Church
Crossroads Baptist Church in Valdosta will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5:00 pm in the worship center on Christmas Eve. Crossroads Baptist Church is located at 3001 Country Club Drive in Valdosta.

The Porch Community Church
The Porch Community Church in Valdosta will have a Christmas Music Worship service on December 21st at 10:30 am, and a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 3:00 pm on Christmas Eve. The Porch Community Church is located at 4381 Forrest Street Exit in Valdosta.
Bethany Baptist Church
Bethany Baptist Church in Hahira will have a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5:30 pm. This service will be approximately one hour and will be family friendly with cookies, coffee, and hot chocolate. Bethany Baptist Church is located at 5064 Bethany Drive in Hahira.
Antioch Church
Antioch Church in Adel will have a Christmas Eve service on December 24th from 5:00-6:00 pm. Antioch Church is located at 4564 Antioch Road in Adel.

ALBANY AREA
First Presbyterian Church
First Presbyterian Church in Albany will host a Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship service on Christmas Eve beginning at 6:00 pm. You can find it at 220 N. Jackson Street in Downtown Albany.
Life Church
Life Church in Leesburg is hosting a communion service on Christmas Eve from 5:00-6:00 pm where all are welcome. You can find Life Church at 588 Fussell Road in Leesburg.
St. Patricks Episcopal Church
St. Patricks Episcopal Church in Albany welcomes everyone to their Christmas Eve Service with Choir and Carols on Christmas Eve. The service will start at 7:00 pm and will feature choir anthems, congregational carols, candlelight, special Christmas readings, and communion. St. Patricks is located at 4800 Old Dawson Road.
