The holiday season can be chaotic and busy for us as moms, and it can feel like the Christmas season is all about shopping and presents. If you’re looking for a way to slow down and bring the focus of the season back to its original meaning, visiting a live nativity scene can be a great way to do that. It’s a fun outing as a family and a great show that points us back to what Christmas is all about. In this article, we’ll go over the live nativity scenes happening in Southwest Georgia this holiday season. Wild Adventures
Wild Adventures in Valdosta will have a live nativity scene as part of their Merry & Bright Christmas celebration this year. In addition to the Live Nativity Scene, you can also visit Santa, experience Holly Jolly Junction, see beautiful light displays, and of course ride all the rides. Because this live nativity option has a lot of fun add-ons, it’s a great option if your family is a little reluctant. You can learn more about Wild Adventure’s Christmas Celebration and all its offerings as well as admission information here. While this option is not free, your admission will get you the live nativity scene in addition to all the other fun offerings.

Douglas Christian Fellowship COG
Douglas Christian Fellowship COG in Douglas will have a live nativity scene on December 20th and 21st, with two showings each night. The first showing will be at 6:00 pm, and the second will be at 7:00 pm. This event is free, and everyone is invited.

Camp J.D. Tygart
Camp J.D. Tygard in Wray City (436 Woody Jackson Circle) has a special Christmas light display ever Friday and Saturday in December, but on December 19th and 20th, they will also have a live nativity scene. In addition to the live nativity scene, you can meet Santa and enjoy some special Christmas treats. This event is free, but donations are always welcome.
Evans Memorial Camp Inc.
Evans Memorial Camp Inc. in Lakeland will have a live nativity scene on December 19th and 20th at 6:00 pm. You can find it at 1229 N Highway 221 in Lakeland.
