Tiftarea YMCA

The Tiftarea YMCA, located at 1657 Carpenter Road South in Tifton, has a winter holiday camp for December 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 26th, and 29th as well as January 2nd and 5th with hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm except for Christmas Even (hours will be 7:00 am to 2:00 pm on Christmas Eve). The camp will not be available on Christmas or New Year’s Day. This camp will have outside play, games, lots of fun, and breakfast and lunch provided. The weekly fee for members is $95 and $115 for non-members. They are also offering a daily drop in option for parents who may not need the whole week at $30 a day for members and $35 a day for non-members. Local Daycares

In addition to the Tiftarea YMCA, some local daycares offer holiday camp options for school aged children as well. High Hope Academy has it listed on their website, but other local daycares, which you can find here, may offer holiday options as well.

Babysitting at Noah’s Playground

If you don’t need childcare all day every day while the kids are going to be out of school, babysitting offered at Noah’s Playground may be an option or your family. They offer two hours of babysitting at $25 for one child and $10 for each additional child, and it’s a super fun environment for your kids to play if you just need a few hours to get some work finished up. Day Camp with Tifton Council for the Arts

While this option won’t work for parents who are working through Christmas Eve, the Tifton Council for the Arts is having a one day camp on December 22nd for kids age 6-12.  This camp will include lunch, dance, and art. It will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at The Syd Blackmarr Arts Center and is $75 with early drop off and late pickup available. You can learn more or register here.

Tifton’s Babysitters  

If you are not able to sign up for the options listed above or have very specific hours where the above options won’t work for holiday care, you an join the Facebook group Tifton’s Babysitters and post with specifics of what you need. Always make sure to thoroughly vet anyone who is watching your child.
