Tips on Finding the Right Daycare
You want to make sure your child is in the best possible environment they can be, and while we would all love to say money is no object, affordability when it comes to daycare is also very important. Here are our top tips on finding the right daycare for you and your children:
- Call early and often. If you are currently pregnant, start calling around on availability as soon as possible.
- Find a daycare that you can afford.
- Find a daycare or childcare option that fits your schedule. While some of the options listed above do offer evening hours, not all of them do. If you are having a hard time finding a childcare option that works for your schedule, you may want to try the Facebook group, Tifton’s Babysitters (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1431529354303645) .
- Visit the daycare in person, potentially multiple times. Meet with the person who will be your child’s caregiver as well as the director of the center and ask them questions.
- Ask for other parent’s opinions and experiences.
