Tis the season for all things fun and festive! As moms and caregivers, we are the magic makers this holiday season, and some of these fun (and free) events can be a great way to make that holiday magic without spending a lot of money.

Tifton

Due to impending weather, Tifton rescheduled their parade to December 13th at 5:00 pm. Due to the change, the Hometown Holidays Celebration normally planned for after the parade is canceled.

Omega

Omega will host their Hometown Christmas Festival on December 12th from 5:00-10:00 pm. The parade line up will start at 5:00 pm, and there will also be vendors, hot chocolate, smores, chili and grilled cheese, Santa and friends, and more. You can find it all at Veterans Park on Georgia Avenue in Omega.

Alapaha

Alapaha will have their 9th Annual Country Christmas event at the Alapaha Town Square on December 13th from 5:30-7:30 pm. You can enjoy a children’s parade as well as a golf cart parade, and there will also be train rides, sleigh rides, hay rides, Santa Clause at the Bank of Alapaha, and singing.

Ashburn

Ashburn will host their Christmas parade on December 13th at 10:00 am with the theme of “Joy to the World.” The parade will run down Washington Avenue.

Adel

The city of Adel will host their “Christmas Around the World” parade on December 13th at 6:00 pm in downtown Adel.

Hahira

Hahira will have their “Merry Main Street” Christmas on December 13th at 6:00 pm, with a Merry Main Street festival to follow afterwards. The parade will begin at W Main Street and Branch Street and continue east on Main Street to Nelson Street.

Fitzgerald

The city of Fitzgerald will have their annual Christmas parade in downtown Fitzgerald on December 4th at 6:30 pm.

Ocilla

Ocilla will have their “Night on the Town” parade on December 11th from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Sylvester

Sylvester will have their downtown Christmas parade on December 4th at 6:00 pm. Immediately after the parade, there will be a Christmas tree lighting and festival with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Depot.

Albany

Albany will have their Christmas parade and celebration of lights with the theme “Home for the Holidays: Honoring Our Heroes” on December 13th at 6:00 pm. They will have vendors and food trucks starting at 4:00 pm and live entertainment at 4:45 pm.

Leesburg

Leesburg will host their “Spirit of Christmas” parade and festival on December 13th. The parade will kick off at 10:00 am, and there will be a day full of family friendly events to follow.

Cordele

Cordele will have their Christmas parade on December 15th at 6:00 pm, with the parade starting at Cordele City Hall and ending at the Cordele Community Clubhouse. After the parade is over, there will be a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and announcement of the parade winners.

Moultrie

Moultrie is hosting their annual Christmas parade on December 11th at 6:00 pm.

Thomasville

Thomasville will host their Christmas Parade with the theme “Songs of the Season” on December 1st at 6:30 pm. The parade will run on Broad Street and Smith Avenue. Thomasville will also host “Victorian Christmas” December 11th and 12th from 6:00-9:00 pm each night. This event is free and will have lots of fun activities and demonstrations for the whole family.
