They can provide gynecologic care, pre-conception counseling, maternity care, gynecological surgery, menopause management, and more. If you are seeing them for maternity care, you will see one or more of their outpatient providers for care during your pregnancy, and the inpatient provider on staff when you’re in the hospital. They do have one provider (Ana Hernandez) who speaks Spanish, as well as a few staff members who speak Spanish as well.

Tifton Woman’s Center is another OB/GYN office located in Tifton that provides both gynecologic care and prenatal/OB care. They can do routine testing like Pap smears, breast exams, labs, address gynecological problems, perform gynecologic surgery, and prenatal/OB care. If you are an OB patient needing a C-Section, one of their providers will perform the procedure, but for a spontaneous vaginal delivery, it will depend on the on-call schedule at Tift Regional Medical Center. What to Look for in an OB/GYN

Choosing an OB/GYN is an important and personal decision. Whether you’re trying to conceive, preparing for delivery, or just need routine care, you want a provider who respects your values and makes you feel heard and supported.

Here are some things to consider when choosing the right OB/GYN for you:

  • Comfort & Communication: Do you feel at ease asking questions? Does the provider listen and explain things clearly?
  • Hospital Affiliation: Make sure they deliver or practice at your preferred hospital, like Tift Regional Medical Center.
  • Philosophy of Care: Are they supportive of your birth plan, pain management preferences, or natural approaches if that’s important to you?
  • Office Environment: Is the staff welcoming and responsive? How easy is it to schedule appointments or get answers between visits?
  • Insurance & Costs: Double-check that they’re in-network with your insurance and transparent about billing.
  • Local Recommendations: Ask other moms in the Tifton area who they’ve loved (or not). Word of mouth goes a long way!
